We have licensed a few of our resources for use by alumni (through the Alumni Library Portal), but allowing alumni access to other resources would be prohibitively expensive (adding 200,000+ alumni to our existing subscriptions for 30,000 students). Individual access would cost us no less than what you would spend directly with the publisher or database vendor, and we have no means to process external payments.

Our recommendation is to utilize services of your local public library including databases, full-text sources, and interlibrary loan services. Most public universities allow walk-in traffic access to their online resources, including databases and e-journals. Finally, Open Access journals are becoming more prominent and allow free access to all users.
