Summon does not include all the content from all the databases, journals, and other online resources to which the library subscribes. All of our subscribed journals that we get directly from their publishers are included in Summon. None of the EBSCOhost databases participate in Summon (Academic Search Complete, Business Search Complete etc.). Content indexed in EBSCOhost may appear in Summon because we already subscribe to the journal. We estimate about 85% of our journal subscriptions are indexed in Summon, some at the full-text level and others at only the citation level.

We are working on getting all of our ebook subscriptions represented in Summon. Several providers of ebooks allow full-text indexing of these materials in Summon; the rest will be indexed at the bibliographic citation level.

Other kinds of content, such as conference proceedings, standards, and dissertations will vary in indexing levels in Summon, depending on their publishers/providers, though more are agreeing to participate all the time.

Nevertheless, a comprehensive search on a research topic will require searching multiple databases and using subject-specific databases' advanced search features.
