You may request checked-out books from the Addison record. If a book is checked out, you will either see a Request link "Request item" next to it or a Request icon in navigation icon list at the top of the search page. Click on the Request button, and Addison will ask you to put in your patron information (name and ID number). You will then pick the item that you're requesting, and submit your request.
When you submit a request, the due date for the item is changed to 21 days from today, unless the item is already due sooner, in which case the due date is not changed. Recalled items are not eligible for renewals and accrue fines at $1/day, even for faculty who normally are not charged fines.
The patron who currently has the item will be emailed with the new due date. As soon as the item is returned, you'll be emailed to come and pick it up.
