As long as you have a Virginia Tech PID and password and are a current Virginia Tech student or employee, you may use our electronic resources by using the Off-Campus Access system. Simply start on the library's website, search in the main Discovery Search box, use the link to Discovery Search's Advanced Search screen, browse or search our databases, or use the link to search our journals. Once you encounter a resource that requires authentication, you'll automatically see the usual login screen. Again, you need to do nothing in advance to make that happen, as long as you start on the library's website.

Employees of Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine (VTCSOM) have access to library resources through the VTCSOM Library. Off-campus access to online healthcare subscription resources is available solely to currently enrolled VTCSOM students and currently employed VTCSOM faculty and staff. Visit the VTCSOM Library & Learning Commons page for more information.

Please also visit our Off-Campus Access page for information about Accessing Library Resources Off Campus.
