Anyone with a Virginia ID can receive a borrower's card from the User Services Desk in Newman Library, or any of our branch libraries. You'll need to present that ID in person. You can then check out materials (books, DVDs, and more) with the Other Patron borrowing privileges (which are similar to undergraduates'). Only current faculty, staff, and students are eligible to use our Interlibrary Loan services and have off campus access to our electronic resources. Most databases, ejournals, and ebooks can be accessed by anyone while in the library, using our public computers. And there are numerous freely available databases and ejournals listed in our Alumni Portal.
